Ringkasan program
This program is designed to encourage the development of the whole person, which is the hallmark of a liberal arts education. It is a rigorous, competitive program of study for students interested in pursuing careers in professional theatre.
Modul program
The modules are THE 101 Introduction to the Theatre (3cr.), THE 103 Stage Technology I (4 cr.), THE 104 Stage Technology II (4 cr.), THE 105-106 Basics of Performance (6 cr.), THE 201 Scene Design I (3 cr.), THE 202 Costume Design I (3 cr.), THE 205 Lighting Design I (3 cr.), THE 206 Theatrical Makeup (1 cr.), THE 371 Play Analysis (3 cr.), THE 390 Theatre Workshop (at least 1 cr. in 4 different semesters) (4 cr.),THE 468 Theatre History I (3 cr.), THE 469 Theatre History II (3 cr.), THE 473 Senior Capstone Seminar (1 cr.), THE 483 Senior Capstone Project (1 cr.), Electives in design/production (3 cr.), 30-credit area of departmentally approved emphasis in Design and Technology OR a 40-credit area of departmentally approved emphasis in Performance.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students who have no previous work at the post-secondary level must have at least a 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) from a secondary school. Students must also meet the criteria for admission to university level study in their home country. Students must have any one of the following as proof of English competency - TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 525 on the paper test or 70 on the internet based test; completion of the University of Idaho American Language and Culture Program (ALCP); SAT critical reading with a minimum score of 500; IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.0; Cambridge CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) with a pass; Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) with a pass; Cambridge International 'O' Levels with a pass; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a score of 74. English proficiency demonstration is waived for any applicant who has a previous degree at an accredited U.S. institution or who have taken English classes at U.S. institutions and passed those classes or students from countries where English is the native language and/or the official language for academic instruction.
