This program allows students the flexibility to supplement their core study of physics with courses in complementary fields. This program will be effective preparation for graduate study in the sciences, for medical, law, and business schools, or for direct entry into the job market. Because students pursuing the Interdisciplinary Physics degree have a wide variety of career goals, advising from a Physics concentration advisor is especially important.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have a certificate representing 12 years of academic education with an equivalent of first division achievement in senior secondary school is required for freshman application. Consideration for transfer admission requires official, externally-issued university mark sheets with First Division achievement for each year of study. The University of Michigan requires a high level of proficiency in English, so that all students are able to participate fully in University life, both in and out of class. The University accepts the results of the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or the International English Testing System (IELTS). In general, minimum acceptable scores are in the 80-85 range on the MELAB, with section scores of at least 80; in the 570-610 range on the paper-Based TOEFL (PBT), with section scores of at least 57; in the 230-250 range on the computer-Based TOEFL (CBT), with section scores of at least 23; or in the 88-106 range on the new internet-based TOEFL (iBT), with section scores of at least 23 in listening, speaking, and reading, and at least 21 in writing. The IELTS is also acceptable with scores in the 6.5-7.0 range, with section scores of at least 6.5. Applicants from outside of the U.S. are strongly encouraged to take the SAT because the new writing component of the ACT is not currently offered outside of the U.S.
