This department focus on whole organisms and ecosystems in both basic and applied sciences creates a rich resource for our faculty, students and our stakeholders. They anticipate new opportunities for collaboration in areas of conservation, ecology, systematic and integrated agriculture and aquaculture. This Marine and Freshwater Biology program will flourish. This strong agricultural history in the animal and plant disciplines, this extensive network of farms and facilities, this long-standing partnership with Cooperative Extension and this affiliation with the Agricultural Experiment Station, they are excited about the possibilities that will emerge from our newly created department. They are eager to expand our relationship with the Thompson School of Applied Sciences and extend this research relationships in collaboration with partner institutions and agencies.

The University of New Hampshire offers living space in 27 different residence halls. These halls are grouped into three separate and very different residential areas: Area 1: The Hills, Area 2: The Valley and Area 3: The Timbers. Each area possesses its own distinctive characteristics, inspired in by its location in the campus, by architectural style, and by the different themed housing located in the different residential areas. This university offers a female single-gender environment and coed residences halls as well as communities where students who share common interests can live. Facilities vary from area to area, but student will find recreational and social centers, dining facilities, and a variety of living adventures in any area. With each resident having their own high-speed internet connection, access to laundry facilities within each hall, cable television, all UNH residence hall rooms are welcoming. This fully furnished room includes beds, dressers, desks/chairs, closets or wardrobes. All UNH residence halls offer a variety of lounge space and kitchen facilities for residence use. They take great pride in this facility and look forward to sharing the experience of “living at UNH” with Student.
