Ringkasan program

This program augments the general liberal arts education and provides the basis for graduate training and careers in mental health, community development, education, research and industry. The Psychology curriculum acquaints students with scientific methods and studies and with theoretical foundations in the sub fields of psychology. It also emphasizes the applications of psychological knowledge and skills in many areas of human functioning.

Modul program

The modules are as follows: Each of the following courses: 47.101 General Psychology, 47.260 Child and Adolescent Development, 47.269 Research I: Basics, 47.369 Research II: Statistics, 47.375 Research III: Laboratory; One course in each of the following three areas: Personality and Abnormal Psychology: 47.232 Psychology of Personality, 47.272 Abnormal Psychology; Social and Community Psychology: 47.209 Social Psychology, 47.255 Community Psychology; Experimental Psychology: 47.273 Brain, Mind and Behavior, 47.276 Theories of Learning, 47.277 Sensation and Perception, 47.278 Cognitive Psychology; Two 300 or higher level Psychology electives, One Advanced Seminar: 47.472 Seminar: Personality, 47.473 Seminar: Social Psychology, 47.474 Seminar: Developmental Psychology, 47.475 Seminar: Clinical Psychology, 47.476 Seminar: Experimental Psychology, 47.477 Seminar: Contemporary Trends in Psychology; One 400-level or above psychology elective; Students have the option of taking three additional Psychology courses (0-9 credits).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have completed the following coursework at the college preparatory level or higher during high school such as four years of English, two years of social studies (including one year of U.S. history), three years of mathematics, two years of foreign language (in a single language), three years of science (two with a lab), and two years of electives. In addition to this, students must have considerable facility with English, and prospective students whose native language is not English are required to take college writing 1 and 2 with a grade of C or better at a regionally accredited college or university, or to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). They should have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper version of the test, 213 on the computer-based version and 79-80 on the internet-based version.
