This program is the study of business and economics of agribusiness firms. Aspects unique to agribusiness are the risks and uncertainties of agricultural production, the heavy reliance on natural resources, the uniqueness of the institutions that govern food and agriculture, the competitive structures within the agribusiness sector, the technology of commercial agriculture and food processing, and the global dimensions of food and agriculture. The agribusiness curriculum emphasizes agribusiness courses in agricultural economics and foundation courses in business administration. This option focuses on global issues facing agribusinesses today. Students complete basic agribusiness course work, study another language, and participate in an international experience. This is crucial to grasp the wide range of issues facing international agribusinesses and their place in the global economy.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
