Agronomy includes crop, soil, weed, range, and environmental sciences. Students in agronomy have diverse interests, including crop production and physiology; crop breeding; soil management, fertility, and conservation; soil and water quality; physical and chemical properties of soils; forages; and range management. With an emphasis on economics and business related coursework, students are prepared for sales and management positions within the areas of plant, soil, and water resources management. This option prepares students for a wide range of careers in management, supervisory, education, service, and sales positions in agri-businesses and environmental agencies.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
