Ringkasan program
This program is designed for students seeking admission to graduate programs such as the Allied Health Sciences’ Masters Program in Health Promotion Sciences as well as for those interested in graduate/professional programs such as Public Health, Gerontology, Health Education, Health Psychology, Physician Assistant, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, or Midwifery.
Modul program
The required courses are AH 4241W Research for the Allied Health Professional, AH 2001 Medical Terminology, AH 3231 Program Planning for Health Promotion. Plus 3-4 additional courses or 11 credits from CANR: AH 2000 Fundamentals of Allied Healthcare, AH 3101 Health and Wellness for Life, AH 3133 Cancer and your Health, AH 3175 Environmental Health, AH 3203 Aging: Implications for Health Professionals, AH 3234 Fitness for Health, AH 3574 Ergonomics, AH 4242 Counseling and Teaching for the Health Professional, AH 4243 Health Care Issues for the Health Professional, AH 4244 Management for the Health Professional, NUSC 2200 Nutrition and Human Development, NUSC 4236 Principles of Nutrition, NUSC 4250 Nutrition for Exercise and Sport.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Admission to the Health Sciences, Health Promotion Sciences or Occupational Safely and Health concentrations within the Allied Health Sciences major requires a minimum of 45 earned credits, a cumulative GPA of 2.2 or higher, academic good standing, and successful completion of one college level (1000-level or higher) course in each of the following: biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Students should complete, as a minimum, the following college preparatory courses while in high school: Four years of English, three years of math (algebra I, algebra II and geometry), two years of social studies (including one year of U.S. History), two years of a single foreign language (3 years strongly recommended), two years of laboratory science, three years of electives. The minimum score requirement for the TOEFL is 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (Internet-based). The minimum score requirement for the IELTS exam is 6.5.
