This seven-year program is a combined program; students will follow a three-year prescribed course of study in the undergraduate biology major. Students will be awarded a bachelor of science degree on successful completion of the first year of medical education at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the eight-year program, students will complete the four-year undergraduate biology major and be awarded a bachelor of science degree before starting their medical education. Students in both programs will receive the doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree after completion of successful study at the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Dual Admission Program in osteopathic medicine is restricted to entering freshmen. Candidates are required to pursue a biology degree. They must achieve, at minimum, one of three combinations of high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. For the 3+4 program: 3.3 GPA with 1350 SAT or 30 ACT, 3.5 GPA with 1300 SAT or 29 ACT, or 3.8 GPA with 1250 SAT or 28 ACT. For the 4+4 program: 3.3 GPA with 1200 SAT or 26 ACT, 3.5 GPA with 1150 SAT or 25 ACT, or 3.8 GPA with 1100 SAT or 24 ACT. In addition, candidates must have four years of mathematics (through pre-calculus), four years of science (including biology and chemistry), and four years of English. In addition to an undergraduate studies application, a dual admission application must be submitted along with three references. One from a high school science teacher, one from a guidance counselor, and one from a professional osteopathic physician. An on-campus preadmission interview is required.
