The Department of Engineering at ASU's Polytechnic campus offers an interdisciplinary engineering and computing education to meet the needs of a global workplace. Students in these programs work on realistic design projects every semester in state-of-the-art engineering studios where they learn to innovate and apply engineering principles. Graduates from the program have the foundation of technical and professional skills needed to succeed in whichever engineering or computing field they choose.

Housing for single students is sorted into two groups: traditional-age freshmen (18-19, recently graduated from high school) and all other single students. Freshmen housing is separated from the rest of single student housing in order to meet the unique needs of students as they transition into college life. Freshman housing at ASU's Polytechnic campus is part of the Freshman Year Experience program, a living-learning community designed to enhance the success of students in their first year of college. Housing for other single students is provided in two areas. The North Residence Halls are composed of a cluster of five residence halls on the north part of campus. Alternatively, houses, which can be shared by two or three students, are available in the south part of campus. Housing for other single students is provided in two areas.
