Ringkasan program
This program is designed to give students the background and expertise to pursue a career in a health of fitness related field. It also prepares students for graduate study in exercise science. This major does not lead to teacher certification.
Modul program
The modules are as follows: General Education Core Requirements for B.S. 59-65; Technical Requirements: (Exercise Science majors must complete these courses as part of the general education core): MTH 1150, Elementary Statistics, PED 2036, Weight Training; One hour from the following: PED 2001, Aerobic Dance, PED 2002 Aerobic Walking, PED 2021 Jog-Run, PED 2027 Step Aerobics; Major Requirements 34: BIO 2230, Human Anatomy and Physiology I (4), PED 1010, Foundations of Sport Science 3, EXS 2000, Kinesiology 3, HTH 2230, Principles of Nutrition 3, HTH 2350, Prevention and Treatment of Injury 3, EXS 3010, Exercise Physiology 3, EXS 3020, Laboratory Methods in Exercise Science 3, EXS 4210, Exercise Prescription 3, EXS 4500, Internship in Exercise Science I 3, EXS 4600, Seminar in Exercise Science 3, Choose one of the following courses: BIO 2240, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, EXS 3000, Electrocardiography, HTH 3440, Nutrition for Physical Activity, EXS 4400, Program Planning and Implementation in Exercise Science, EXS 4510, Internship in Exercise Science II; Minor Requirements 18, Electives 11-17.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
International applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by meeting any one of the following: minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper-based test (PBT) or 80 internet-based test (iBT); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT Critical Reading score of 530 or ACT English subscore of 23; successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112. All applicants with college level coursework from a foreign institution must have their transcripts evaluated by an approved foreign credential evaluation organization, such as World Educations Services (WES) or Joseph Silny and Associates or an evaluation service listed currently as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
