Ringkasan program

This program curriculum prepares students for careers as professionals in a variety of natural resource management agencies and organizations. Most employment opportunities are in the public sector, including such agencies as the National Park Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the USDA Forest Service, state park departments, and city and County Park and recreation departments. There are also positions with associations, resorts, concessionaires, retailers and various other enterprises. Graduates are employed as park managers, rangers, conservation officers, planners, naturalists, agency and unit directors and in other areas recreation and natural resource management. Students in the interpretation option will develop skills to educate and inspire visitors at parks, zoos, historic sites and museums by helping them understand and experience the cultural and natural resources of the site.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
