Ringkasan program

This program is concerned with the interaction between people and their social environments. Social workers help people deal with other people, cope with the many social and environmental forces that affect and control daily life, and help solve problems that inhibit growth and development. This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education to educate entry-level, generalist social work practitioners. The social work major is required for students who intend to pursue a career in social work in Kansas and in many other states. The major is also beneficial to students who plan to work with people. is recognized as a beginning-level professional degree. Students graduating from the social work program are eligible for licensure as bachelor degree social workers in Kansas and numerous other states. No other bachelor’s degree is recognized, or necessary, for such eligibility. Students who wish to pursue graduate studies in social work will be eligible for advanced standing in many master of social work programs throughout the United States.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
