Ringkasan program

This is the first Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree to train professional operational managers for hunting/shooting preserves and resorts, gamebird production companies, fishing resorts and outdoor experience companies. This program was designed with input from working professionals from across the United States. Wildlife and related outdoor enterprises exist in all 50 states, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. While students take courses in wildlife and fisheries management, this program is not a traditional wildlife and fisheries biology program of study. To create professional managers, this program incorporates a series of business, hospitality management, natural resources, wildlife and fisheries management courses with training in selected outdoor skills. Outdoor skills courses in the WOEM program include firearms and firearms maintenance; rifle and handgun range design construction and operations; bow hunting equipment and skills; sporting clays range development and operations; trap and skeet range development and operations; and wildlife habitat/food plot installation and maintenance.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
