Ringkasan program
The uniqueness of this concentration lies in its psychosocial, conceptual orientation grounded in experiential learning for real world application. Inspired by the scientist-practitioner model, students develop fluency in theory and application. Students learn to diagnose organizational systems and change, apply the interpersonal skills to meet strategic challenges, and advance in their own individual endeavors within organizations of the current corporate and not-for-profit worlds.
Modul program
The McGhee Core Curriculum is required of all degree-seeking students enrolled at the Paul McGhee Division: Writing (8 - 10 Credits): The following courses may be required based on writing placement assessment, and should be successfully completed within the first three semesters: Intensive Writing Workshop / Y20.7501; Writing Workshop I / Y20.7502; Writing Workshop II / Y20.7503. Critical Thinking (4 Credits): Critical Thinking / Y20.6401. Quantitative Reasoning (4 Credits): Students select one of the following based on math placement assessment in close consultation with their advisor: Math I / Y10.1101; Mathematical Reasoning / Y10.1105; Math II / Y10.1141; Precalculus / Y10.1171; Calculus with Applications to Business and Economics / Y10.1174. Scientific Issues (4 Credits): Students select one of the following in consultation with their advisor: Fundamentals of Biology I / Y13.2001; Global Ecology / Y20.3203; Stars, Planets, and Life / Y20.3207; Biology of Hunger and Population / Y20.3215. History, Culture, and Art (12 Credits): Students select one course from each subgroup in consultation with their advisor. Historical Perspectives (4 Credits): Renaissance to Revolution / Y20.5804; The American Experience / Y20.5820; Classical and Medieval World / Y20.5821; Contemporary World / Y20.5822. Global Perspectives (4 Credits): World Cultures: Africa / Y20.5011; World Cultures: Middle East / Y20.5012; World Cultures: Asia / Y20.5013; World Cultures: Latin America and the Caribbean / Y20.5014. Literary and Artistic Expressions (4 Credits): History of Music / Y20.5438; Visual Expressions in Society / Y20.5441; Major 20th-Century Writers / Y20.6201; Oral Traditions into Literature / Y20.6209.
