Ringkasan program
This program emphasizes art-making as a form of creative inquiry and research taking place within a broad historical and cultural context. With a curriculum aimed at the development of visual skills, creative and critical reasoning, and comprehension of historical and contemporary contexts, the program prepares its students for a diversity of careers and graduate study in art. Students may take courses in drawing, design, sculpture, ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, new media, and film.
Modul program
The modules are as follows: Thirty credits in Studio Art, including nine credits in foundation courses from ARTS 001, ARTS 002, ARTS 003 with three different instructors; fifteen credits at the 100-level (only three of which may be ARTS 197; six of which may be ARTS 195) with two different instructors, including courses in the areas of two-dimensional study (drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, film, and video) and of three-dimensional study (sculpture, ceramics, fine metals); and six credits at the 200-level, three of them in the senior year; nine credits of Art History, including two of the following: ARTH 005, ARTH 006, or ARTH 008; and one of the following: ARTH 140, ARTH 170, ARTH 172, ARTH 174, ARTH 177, ARTH 179, ARTH 180, and ARTH 199 when approved for this requirement (permission depends upon topic; check with Art Department).

Students must have minimum entry requirements: four years of English; three years of mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II and geometry (or equivalents); two years of the same foreign language (American Sign Language meets this requirement); two years of a natural or physical science, including a laboratory science; three years of social sciences. International students should have a minimum acceptable TOEFL score of both 550 for the paper-based and 79-80 for the iBT and a minimum of IELTS score of 6.5 is required for admission.
