Ringkasan program
The Honors Emphasis is designed for two groups of students: 1) Those seeking the most thorough possible training to prepare themselves for graduate school and a career in research; 2) Those seeking entry to competitive professional programs (e.g. medicine, veterinary school) and wishing to obtain a degree that recognizes their exceptional dedication and ability. In this broad-field major, students have the same course requirement as a professional ACS approved Chemistry degree, plus the unique requirement to complete a substantial research project (4 units of Chem 498) and write a thesis in their senior year (2 units of Chem 488). No minor is required but a minimum of 3.4 GPA is mandatory and this program also satisfies the requirements of the University Honors program.
Modul program
Courses are in Chem 102, Chem 104, Chem 251, Chem 261, Chem 262, Chem 352, Chem 370, Chem 371, Chem 456, Chem 460, Chem 470, chem 471, chem 480, Chem 484. Special major requirements are Math 255 and Physics 181. Students can select from Chemistry 400 level or an approved mathematics or physics course.

Students must complete secondary education consisting of a college preparatory program with an above average academic record. Students are required to submit scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (minimum score paper based: 500, computer based: 173+, internet based: 61) or the Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency (minimum score 70). For evaluation of transfer credit from colleges/universities attended outside of the United States, submit transcripts to Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc.
