Ringkasan program
This program is a broad-based area of study which involves understanding how messages are created and delivered for maximum effectiveness in both interpersonal and public communication contexts. Students interested in careers in politics, counseling, social services, human relations, law, among many others, are especially attracted to this concentration. Coursework in this concentration emphasizes both written persuasive communication excellence, as well as competence in the presentation of messages with precision, dynamism and charisma.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
International students are not required to take the SAT or the ACT for standard admission. However, these tests may be required for direct admission and scholarship consideration. Undergraduate students must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 173 (61 Internet-based test), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum MELAB score of 69. TOEFL, IELTS and MELAB scores are valid for two (2) years from test date. The University of Akron accepts only valid test scores.
