Ringkasan program
This program enables students to pursue the following careers: teach English in another country, teach English to nonnative speakers in the US, work with one of the many literacy programs in the US, work to preserve native languages, pursue a Master's of PhD and become a researcher or instructor.
Modul program
The modules include LING 3060, Principles of Language Study, LING 4020, Structure of Modern English, LING 4040, General Linguistics, LING 4070, History of the English Language, One course from the following: LING 4010, English Language in America, LING 4030, Acquisition of English as a Second Language, Ling 4080, Teaching English as a Second Language, Two courses from groups A, B and/or D: Group A: British Literature, ENGL 3430, 3440, 3911, 4410, 4430, 4440, 4470, 4500, Group B: American Literature, ENGL 3830, 33840, 3850, 3912, 3920, 3921, 3922, 3923, 4400, 4020, Group D: World Literature, ENGL 3360, 3450, 3913, 4290, 4300, 4420, 4600.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate semester credit hours prior to receiving a bachelor’s degree or a 2.8 GPA on all undergraduate work. Students should have GRE a minimum of verbal scores ranging from the 50th to the 99th percentile and analytical writing scores ranging from 4.0 to 6.0. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
