Ringkasan program
This program is a genuinely a interdisciplinary study of art and design with coursework in such diverse fields as Anthropology, Film, Communications, Art History, and Sociology. The program introduces students to the breadth of artistic and design media and the interpretive strategies employed to decipher them. The degree teaches students to understand images as objects to be read for their visual, physical, technical, social, and historical properties. It explores the social, philosophical, and psychological reasons why humans make and need images as well as how humans have used images to communicate throughout history and around the globe. The degree prepares students to understand the power and significance of images in the world around them. It prepares students for advanced study in a more specialized field, like art history, anthropology, marketing, etc.

The modules include ART 1200 Art Appreciation 3, ART 1440 Design I 3, ART 1450 Design II 3, ART 1500 Drawing I 3, ART 1510 Drawing II 3, ART 2350 Art History Survey I 3, ART 2360 Art History Survey II 3; AEAH 4899 Interdisciplinary Arts and Design Studies Capstone 3.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
