Ringkasan program
The BA program in international relations is methodologically grounded in the discipline of political science. While political science is a broad study of governments, policies and processes, governing systems and political behavior, the international relations major offers student an opportunity to focus on the policies and processes, governing systems, and political behavior of actors in the international system.
Modul program
The following are the modules: Major (40): Requirements: A student must have completed POL 101, POL 195, and POL 251 with a "C-" or better in each course in order to be admitted into the major. All course work must receive at least a "C-" to count towards the major. Required Introductory Core (12 credits): POL 101, 195, 201,251. Required Upper Level Core (15 credits): POL 337, 353, 354, 355, 454. Electives, International Relations (6 credits): Select 6 credits from POL 316, 351, 451, 452, 456. Electives, Comparative Governments (6 credits): POL 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 338, 339. Senior Project course POL 420 of 1 credit hour. The course meets the University Upper Division Writing Requirement. It is taken in conjunction with a 300-400 level international relations or comparative government course. Consent of the instructor is required.

Applicants must have four years of English including composition and literature, three years of social studies including one year each of U.S. history and geography, three years of math including two years of algebra and one of geometry, two years of the same world language, one year in an area of the arts, three years of science including one year of each of a biological and physical science and one year laboratory experience. International applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements: meet the score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 for the Institutional (paper) TOEFL or 500 standard on International (paper) Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Apart from this they must also have 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), 70 on Michigan, SAT critical reading score of 370, graduation from an English-medium high school with a 2.5 (cumulative equivalent) GPA or higher.
