Ringkasan program
This program leads to a BA in Physics in four years, followed by a one-year program at the Warner School of Education, leading to a MS (or MAT) in Education with NYS Secondary Physics Teacher Certification. All course work required for the two-phase certification processes for teaching of physics in NY State is completed in the MS program (unlike other programs that lead to certification in 4 years with a BA, and then require that students return to school to complete their MS within three years.

The modules include MTH 161 Calculus I, MTH 162 Calculus II, PHY 141 Honors Mechanics,CAS 105 Primary Writing, PHY 143 Waves and Modern Physics (Honors), MTH 164 Multidimensional Calculus, MTH 165 Linear Algebra and Diff. Eqs.,PHY 142 Electricity and Magnetism (Honors), PHY 237 Quantum Mech. of Physical Systems, PHY 388 or PHY 386 Teaching Internship I or Teaching Internship - Pedagogy I overload for BA requirement, PHY 389 or PHY 387 Teaching Internship II or Teaching Internship - Pedagogy II overload for BA requirement.

Students whose native language is not English and whose secondary or higher education was completed in a non-native English speaking country must take a test of English language proficiency to demonstrate that they have the language skills necessary to be successful in university studies. Students should have the following minimum score in IELTS score of 7, TOEFL (paper-based test) 600 TOEFL (computer-based test 250 TOEFL (internet-based test) 100. Students have the Exceptions to Exam Requirements if they have completed three or more years of secondary education at an American or International School where English is the primary language of instruction, scored 600 or better on the critical reading section of the SAT, are a transfer applicant who has completed a year or more of college level courses taught in the United States.
