Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have strong high school preparatory program of basic academic subjects such as four years of English; three years of mathematics, including intermediate algebra; two years of laboratory science (biological/physical science), out of which three to four years are highly recommended; and three years of social studies. Courses in the fine arts, foreign language, and computer science are highly recommended. They must have obtained SAT or ACT scores. International students must have one of the following requirements: minimum TOEFL score of 61 (internet-based), 500 (paper-based) and 173 (computer-based); IELTS with an overall band score of 5.0; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 90; Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE); Certificate of Completion (English as a Second Language (ESL) level 112).

The Department offers students majoring in anthropology and sociology are introduced to alternative perspectives of their world. Whether through a reexamination of their own society or other cultures throughout the world, the students will develop their abilities for critical and analytical thinking. Students majoring in the criminal justice program will learn how to apply critical thinking, social justice, and civic responsibility to their decision-making process as they pursue professional careers and encounter life situations. In addition to developing valuable skills, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the structure and operation of the American criminal justice system and how it relates to other social institutions.

The Hall Director, Resident Advisors and Front Desk staffs are trained to assist residents in developing multicultural community, supporting academic achievement and creating opportunities for personal growth. The residence hall staff seeks to create and maintain environments conducive to the development of all students and assists them in understanding and utilizing college resources and policies. First Street Residence Hall, opened in Fall of 2008, is a state of the art facility providing spacious living arrangements, a mediated classroom, study and social lounges all in a completely wireless and high tech environment that is only minutes away from their classes. Students interested in living on-campus should contact the Office of Housing and Residential Life to explore living options.
