This option provides students with the ability to apply social science concepts and approaches to better understand and analyze relationships between crime, justice, and public policy from a sociological perspective. The option has particular relevance for sociology students aspiring to careers in criminal justice, law, or social services, as well as those preparing for advanced/graduate programs criminology, criminal justice, or public policy. Academic internships are available in local criminal justice and social service agencies, offering a unique combination of scholarly analysis and practical experience for students seeking careers in fields such as law, policing, corrections, and social work.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have an excellent academic record (a minimum 3. 0 on a 4.0 scale or "B" grade average or equivalent) from an accredited or recognized institution to be admitted to Oregon State University. International students must have the following GPA scores: Paper score of 550; Internet score of 80 (Minimum score of 16 on each section) and IELTS score of 6.5.
