Ringkasan program
This program is for students to create original works in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or translation. The program also emphasizes the study of literature and theory, and is appropriate for students to seek the MFA or PhD in English.
Modul program
The program modules are as follows: 4 hrs. Introduction to Creative Writing, 8 hrs. Intermediate Creative Writing (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or translation), 8 hrs. British Literature (one course before and one after 1789), 8 hrs. American Literature (one course before and one after 1900), 4 hrs. An ethnic or international literature course, 12 hrs. Electives.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a minimum TOEFL score of 525 for PBT, 70 for IBT, or a 6.0 on the IELTS, with no less than 5.5 on any individual band scores. Students who have completed, or will complete, a U.S.-style secondary/high school program, who have completed, or will complete, a Canadian-style secondary/high school program, either in Canada or overseas, students wishing to be considered for athletic scholarship and wishing to be considered for merit-based scholarships are strongly encouraged to have SAT or ACT results. Students who have met the English proficiency requirements are strongly encouraged to attend an interview.
