This program offers students who have graduated from an accredited two-year associate degree technical program the opportunity to extend their education and training. All associate degree graduates (with a minimum GPA of 2.50) can automatically transfer up to 64 college credits to Pittsburg State. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a major in technology and this selected emphasis by completing an additional minimum of 60 hours from PSU. This degree gives student’s complete, hands-on training for a real-world job. Students learn engineering technology, theory, logic, leadership, and business skills to broaden their knowledge and to better prepare them for management opportunities. The coursework is both specialized and comprehensive. Students can continue to work as a field representative, technical hotline, aftermarket sales, writer/literature developer, dealership service writer, fleet equipment manager, test engineering technician, technician, service training instructor, insurance claims representative, automotive paint store managers and sales representatives after completing their studies.

Applicants graduated from an accredited high school of under or above 21 years of age must meet one of the following criteria: ACT composite score of 21 or higher; or rank in the top 1/3 of high school graduating class; or complete the pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; or have 24 or more transferable college credit hours with at least a 2.0/4.0 cumulative grade point average. The pre-college curriculum should include, four units of English, three units of Math (Algebra I and above taken in grade 9-12), three units of natural science (at least one must be chemistry or physics), and three units of social science. Those who are from a non-accredited high school or home school should possess ACT composite score of 21 or higher. Applicants must also have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent in high school or a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, if they have been transferred from another U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work). They must also demonstrate their English language proficiency by obtaining 520 (paper) or 190 (computer) or 68 (internet) scores in TOEFL; and an overall band of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each band in IELTS.
