This program designed for the working professional, this career-oriented program offers two different pathways: Radiation and Imaging Management (RAIM) is for students who wish to lead radiation and imaging departments and clinics. Radiation and Imaging Technology (RAIT) is for students seeking advanced technical expertise leading to additional certification.

Modul program

Sectional Anatomy, Body Pathophysiology, Neuropathophysiology, Quality Assurance/Accreditation, 31 credits from RAIM or RAIT courses: Finance and Accounting for Health Care, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Human Resources Management in Health Care, Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Health Care, Marketing in the Health care Environment, Institutional and Departmental Accreditation, New Business Planning for Health Care, Oncology, Radiobiology (offered in 2010), Computed Tomography (CT) Instrumentation and Procedures, Clinical Practicum – CT, Magnetic Resonance (MRI) Instrumentation and Procedures, Clinical Practicum – MRI, Interventional Procedures, Clinical Practicum – Interventional, Mammography, Ultrasound Physics for Mammographers, Breast Ultrasound for Mammographers, Ultrasound Equipment for Mammographers, Pediatric Ultrasound and Fetal Echo, Pediatric Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Positron Emission Tomography, Clinical Practicum – PET, Molecular Imaging/Therapy (offered in 2010), Radiation Oncology I, Radiation Oncology II, Advanced Radiation Physics/Dosimetry (offered in 2010), Advanced Sectional Anatomy, Advanced CT Procedures, Advanced MRI Procedures, Advanced Doppler/Ultrasound Instrumentation (to be added in 2010), Advanced Oncology for Therapists (offered in 2010), Information and Image Mgmt, Quality Assurance/Accreditation.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Student should have High School Graduate or GED certificate. Math and Science courses completed within last 5 years. Overall GPA in prerequisite courses 3.2 or higher. Students have GPA (competitive based upon GPA in prerequisites, minimum overall GPA 3.2). Health Care Experience: Observation (1 point), Volunteer work in health care environment (2 points), Actual patient care experience (3 points). (License, Certifications, Work Experience, Volunteerism), Re-Application Status - (1 point) (positive if re-applying), Written and Verbal Communication Skills demonstrating knowledge of the field and role of Sonographer. (Interview and personal statement video will be submitted with application - 5 points possible).
