Ringkasan program
This program is an interdisciplinary field that examines the culture and society of the United States, past and present. It incorporates the study of economics, history, literature, art, the media, film, urban studies and women’s studies, among other fields. As a discipline, its roots include concepts of place, nation, stereotype, symbol, and identity. Overall, American Studies scholars seek ways to define and explain America and its culture.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must meet the following preparatory courses: four units of English, four units of math, with at least Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II, four units of history or social studies, four units of laboratory science, three or more units in one foreign language (preferred), or two units each of two foreign languages. Students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 530 or above on the paper-based test, a score of 71 or above for the internet-based test, or a score of 197 or above on the computer-based test is required for admission.
