Ringkasan program
The Bachelor of Arts in Art in Art History degree is structured much like a liberal arts degree. Art History degree plan is well suited for students who want to be prepared to do graduate study in art history, material culture, and the visual arts. The undergraduate program in Art History offers a foundation for an enduring appreciation and understanding of art as well as the tools necessary to succeed in an array of other academic and professional disciplines. Major coursework is undertaken in the history of art and in research methods relevant to the field. Students who receive this degree are required to fulfill art history area requirements in several periods: Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Non-Western: African, Asian, Islamic, Latin American, Mesoamerican, Native American, and Oceanic, thus assuring that the student is exposed to the history of art from a variety of periods and cultures.
Modul program
The modules include ARH 304 Issues in visual culture, ARH 302 Ancient to medieval art, ART 303K Drawing foundations, MUS 302L Intro. to Western music, RHE 306 Rhetoric and Writing a Soc. sci. Social science, For. lang. Foreign language (Level 1), For. lang. Foreign language (Level 2).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have official records of all secondary school work, including subjects taken and grades earned. In addition to this, they should possess official test scores for either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the ACT Assessment (ACT) and scores for either TOEFL or ELTS. They should submit a resume showing contributions, talents, honors and abilities in extracurricular, personal and volunteer activities. To be considered for admission to some majors, applicants must meet additional requirements or submit additional materials. To graduate in this program students must have a GPA of at least 2.00 based on all courses undertaken at the university, and a GPA of at least 2.50 for all upper-division art history courses undertaken at the university.
