This program maintains a strong focus on creative and conceptual problem-solving in the creation of material for aspiring new-media professionals, within a sound theoretical framework. Interactive Media is text, audio, video, illustration, photography, and animation assembled in a non-linear, interactive format for delivery on the Internet, mobile networks, on digital media, or within informational kiosks and other presentation formats. This concentration contributes to the engagement of users through a highly popular form of interactive media. Course topics include game design, interactive storytelling, game play, art for games, sound for games, and programming for games. The concentration culminates in a semester long, team based capstone project in which students will work together to create a production-quality game. The careers in this concentration are game design, game development and game programming.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicant must have completed the following minimum curriculum requirements: four units (years) of English (half or one unit of which may be speech), three units of college preparatory mathematics, two units of laboratory science and two units of social sciences. All applicants whose native language is not English have to obtain a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 paper based, 213 computer based, or 79 internet based or a minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS (International English Language Test System).
