This specialization offers a challenging, interdisciplinary course of study in economic theory and policy. Political Economy approaches the study of public affairs by incorporating economic, political, social, and historical considerations in the analysis. The program aims to foster a critical understanding of economic forces and their relationship to issues of prosperity and social justice. In the tradition of classical political economy, the curriculum examines the interconnections between economic organization, social forces, economic power and government policy.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students whose first language is not English and who are admitted to Michigan State University with regular admission must meet one of the following language proficiency requirements. They should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on internet based test (with no sub score below 17) and 550 on paper based test (with no sub score below 52). An IELTS score of 6.5 or higher is required. They should have secured an SAT critical reading score of 480 or higher and an ACT exam sub score of 18 or higher on the English section. Average score of at least 80 with no subs core below 80 is required for Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT) and an average score of 80 or higher is required for Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB).
