Ringkasan program
The EMG program has a high percentage of non-traditional aged, adult learners. In order to accommodate the work schedules of these learners (a number of whom are lateral entry teachers), classes are scheduled in the late afternoons and early evenings. Combined field experiences are arranged so that the candidate enrolled in methods courses during any one semester can complete all hours required without undue difficulty.
Modul program
Students will have their courses in World Geography I (Europe, Americas), World Geography II (Africa, Asia, Oceania), American History, Politics and Government in Global Perspective, Contemporary American Political Issues, Geography of the Global Economy, Survey of Economics.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a graduation from an accredited secondary school. They must meet minimum course requirements as established by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina system. The course requirements should include the following: four course units in English, two course units in foreign language, four course units of mathematics, three course units in science and two course units in social science. A minimum 2.5 GPA on a U.S. scale of 4.0 is required. English proficiency is required of international applicants and is proven by one of the following: minimum score TOEFL should be 71 on the Internet-based exam, 197 on the computer-based exam, or 525 on the paper-based exam; minimum score of IELTS is 6.5 on the academic module; SAT-I Critical Reading score of 450 or higher; ACT reading section score of 20 or higher; Successful completion of UNCW’s ESL program, prior to applying; Having lived in the U.S. for 4 years or more and completion of 2 college-level courses of English composition at a U.S. college or university with a grade of B or better.
