Ringkasan program
This program requires 39 semester hours of English, of which 36 must be advanced. The three of those hours will be satisfied by the core requirement that all students take a English 23xx course of their choosing.
Modul program
The modules include Core Curriculum Requirements 43 hours; Required Courses 39 hours: Area A: Sophomore Literature (Survey Courses) - three credits to be chosen from the following: 2300, 2303, 2305, 2307, 2308, 2313, 2387, 2388; Area B: Literature Survey - six credits to be chosen from the following: 3312, 3313, 3331, 3332; Area C: Period/Genre/Theme/Single Author Courses - three credits to be chosen from the following: 3301, 3304, 3305, 3306, 3307, 3309, 3310, 3311, 3314, 3315, 3316, 3317, 3322, 3324, 3325, 3398, 3399, 4301, 4309, 4310, 4312, 4317,4319, 4390; Area D: World/Multicultural Literature - three credits to be chosen from the following: 3321, 3323, 3342, 3343, 3350, 4313, 4316; Area E: Writing - six credits to be chosen from the following: 3326, 3333, 3334, 3336, 3337, 3338, 4325; Area F: English Language/Linguistics - three credits to be chosen from the following: 3300, 3319, 3330; Area G: Literary or Rhetorical Theory Survey – three (3) credits to be chosen from the following: 4305, 4324; Area H: Electives - 12 credits to be chosen from 3000- and 4000-level courses (3320 may be repeated for elective credit when the topic varies); academic minor (usually 18 hours), Linguistics and Language: English 3330, 4302 and 4308.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have graduated with recommended high school program or higher. All International applicants whose native language is not English must have obtained Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 500 for paper/pencil tests or 173 for computer based tests or 61 for internet-based tests. The minimum acceptable score for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is 6. The minimum test score for ACT is 18 and SAT 850.
