Ringkasan program
This program fosters skills that have broad applications in public policy, research and the private sector. It teaches students to reason spatially by applying geographic techniques and information technologies, including new technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It helps students produce sophisticated understandings of the world, its people, environments, economic structures and cultures. Nature-Society Studies is a strong focus on environmental issues and policies.

The modules are Geography (GEO): 101 - Earth's Physical Landscape; 103 - Urbanization; 170 - Earth's Cultural Landscape or 172 - Cultural Geography; 241 - Geographic Information Systems I; 299 - Nature of Geography; 300 - Geographical Inquiry, Concentration Core (choose 3 / 12 qtr hours; at least 1 course must be at 300-level): GEO: 210 - Environmental Conservation; 215 - International Development and Regional Inequity; 260 - Global Resources; 269 - Political Ecology; 310 - Green Infrastructure; 333 - Urban Planning; 395 - Special Topics (as applicable), Methods and Techniques (Choose 2 / 8 qtr hours): GEO: 242 - GIS II; 243 - Remote Sensing; 344 - GIS III; 391 - Research Techniques, Systematic Surveys and Seminars (Choose 1 / 4 qtr hours): GEO: 200 - Cities and the Environment (cross-listed with ENV 200); 205 - Justice, Inequity, and the Urban Environment; 200 - Dynamic Ocean; 225 - Weather and Climate; 266 - World Economy, Allied/Supporting Field Requirements (5 courses/20 qtr hours): PPS 202 - Public Policy and Environmental Issues; plus four (4) environment-related courses from: ANT, ECO, ENV, HAA, HST, INT, PSC, PPS, SOC and any other discipline or program selected in consultation with a faculty advisor.

Applicants should have completed or are about to complete their secondary school education (high school) and have not taken any college or university coursework after finishing their secondary education. Applicants educated outside the US, regardless of their legal status, should have a proof of English proficiency. Applicants can prove their English proficiency by submitting any of the tests below: minimum TOEFL score of 80, no section lower than 17 (internet based), 213 (computer-based) or 550 (paper based); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT verbal score of 500; minimum ACT score of 18 on the reading section, and 20 on the English section and a minimum Pearson Test of English Academic score of 53.
