Ringkasan program

Latin American Area Studies provides a concentration in the region's history and culture. The course of study features Latin America's economic, geographic, social and political patterns as well as its problems. With a population nearing half a billion people, Latin America has traditionally been, and is now more than ever, a critical area for the United States. Students will examine the historical ties between the two regions in relation to the commonality of cultures and objectives that are becoming increasingly stronger as interdependence grows.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should possess graduation from an accredited high school or they should have received a GED. The high school curricular core requirements should include the following courses: 4 units of English, 3 units of college prep math, 3 units of laboratory science, 3 units of history and citizenship and 2 additional units. An official TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test (213 on the computer-based test or 79 on the internet-based test), IELTS score of 6.5 and cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.
