This program is designed to prepare students for careers in biological sciences and professional programs, including medical school. It includes coursework in advanced biology, associated requirements in chemistry, physics, and mathematics, plus fulfillment of university and college core curriculum requirements. Graduates may qualify for a career in environmental management and conservation, government, higher education, industry (instrumentation or pharmaceutical sales or laboratory technician), and secondary school education. It can also prepare them to enter dental, medical or veterinary school or a training program to become a health care professional.

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school recognized by the home country ministry of education. They must have completed the following courses in high school which includes four credits in English (English I-IV), four credits in mathematics (algebra I, geometry, algebra II and pre-calculus), four credits in science (to be selected from biology, chemistry, environmental sciences and physics), four credits in social sciences (world geography, world history studies, U.S. government and economics and U.S. history), two credits in foreign language Levels I-III proficiency of the same language) ,minimum of half credit in health, one credit in fine arts, one and half credits in physical education, one credit in computer science, three and half credits in electives and half credit in speech. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. Also international students must have demonstrate their English language proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 in paper based, 213 in computer based ,or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band, and with a minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher. Student must also complete at least 30 hours of college courses and complete BIOL 1710/BIOL 1730 or BIOL 1711/BIOL 1733, BIOL 1720/BIOL 1740 or BIOL 1722/BIOL 1744, and two selections from BIOL 2041/BIOL 2042 or BIOL 2140 or BIOL 2241 or BIOL 2301/BIOL 2311 and BIOL 2302/BIOL 2312 (BA only), each with a grade of C or better, must complete CHEM 1410/CHEM 1430 or CHEM 1412/CHEM 1430 or CHEM 1413/CHEM 1430, CHEM 1420/CHEM 1440 or CHEM 1422/CHEM 1440 or CHEM 1423/CHEM 1440, CHEM 2370/CHEM 3210, each with a grade of C or better; complete MATH 1610 or MATH 1650 or the placement equivalent or MATH 1680 (BA only). They must have at least a 2.5 GPA on the required biology, chemistry and mathematics courses listed above; and have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA.
