Ringkasan program
This program provides students with opportunities to develop skills in written and oral communication, to gain knowledge of American and British literature, world literature, and major literary types; and to gain experience in creative writing. The concentration in creative writing is one of the concentrations offered under the English program.
Modul program
The modules include LING 3060: Principles of Language Study, ENGL 3140: Intermediate Creative Writing: Fiction, ENGL 3150: Intermediate Creative Writing: Poetry, ENGL 3160: Intermediate Creative Writing: Nonfiction, ENGL 4100: Advanced Fiction Writing, ENGL 4110: Advanced Poetry Writing.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
