Ringkasan program
In this program students learn the visual storytelling skills necessary to reach audiences using both traditional and new media. Coursework prepares students to work in 21st Century newsrooms, using digital and online media with an emphasis on video shooting and editing, creating audio sideshows and generating material for the web. In addition to receiving instruction in the proper techniques for gathering sound, shooting and editing video and producing visual stories for the web, students learn the fundamental journalism practices of making ethical decisions regarding coverage of a news story, accuracy, writing proficiency and meeting strict deadlines. Students also have the opportunity to produce audio sideshows, print portfolios, and online portfolios.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
