Ringkasan program

This program will give students the skills they need to work on important, challenging real-world problems in a broad range of highly paid positions in business, industry, government and education. With an undergraduate mathematics degree, students may develop new models for evaluating stock options and pricing derivatives, create state-of-the-art techniques for predicting atmospheric reactions and transport of chemical pollution, improve algorithms for computer-aided aircraft design, design procedures for DNA and protein sequencing, develop image and voice recognition systems, help prepare the next generation for the analytically demanding world by teaching mathematics.

The modules include MATH 1710 Calculus I. 4 hours, MATH 1720 Calculus II. 3 hours, MATH 2700 Linear Algebra and Vector Geometry. 3 hours, MATH 2730 Multivariable Calculus. 3 hours and MATH 3000 Real Analysis I. 3 hours, At least one of MATH 3510 Introduction to Abstract Algebra I. 3 hours or MATH 3610 Real Analysis II. 3 hours, One of the following areas: Analysis: two of the following: MATH 3350 Introduction to Numerical Analysis. 3 hours, MATH 3410 Differential Equations I. 3 hours, MATH 3420 Differential Equations II. 3 hours, MATH 3610 Real Analysis II. 3 hours, MATH 3740 Vector Calculus. 3 hours, MATH 4100 Fourier Analysis. 3 hours, MATH 4200 Dynamical Systems. 3 hours, MATH 4520 Introduction to Functions of a Complex Variable. 3 hours, Algebra: two of the following: MATH 3400 Number Theory. 3 hours, MATH 3510 Introduction to Abstract Algebra I. 3 hours, MATH 3520 Abstract Algebra II. 3 hours, MATH 4430 Introduction to Graph Theory. 3 hours, MATH 4450 Introduction to the Theory of Matrices. 3 hours, Probability/Statistics: two of the following: MATH 3680 Applied Statistics. 3 hours, MATH 4610 Probability. 3 hours, MATH 4650 Statistics. 3 hours, Geometry/Topology: two of the following: MATH 3740 Vector Calculus. 3 hours, MATH 4060, MATH 4500 Introduction to Topology. 3 hours.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
