Ringkasan program
This program requires an entrance audition for the full-time music faculty. Satisfactory performance at this audition will qualify the student for a one-year award from the Father Guentner Fund covering private lesson fees on the student's major instrument. The audition will consist of two contrasting musical compositions. Exceptional performance at the audition may qualify the student for a further partial tuition award, the Music Talent Scholarship. The Bachelor of Arts in Music: Performance Emphasis requires 16 related performance hours in MUSC 341 Applied Music in addition to the 36 hours for the major.

The courses are: MUSC 126/127 Piano for Beginners I and II or 250/251 Intermediate Piano I and II, MUSC 226 Music Computer Skills, MUSC 227 Music Theory/Musicianship I, MUSC 228 Music Theory/Musicianship II, MUSC 327 Music Theory III, MUSC 329 Music Theory IV, MUSC 330 Music History I, MUSC 331 Music History II, MUSC 441 Conducting, MUSC 141/341 Applied Music.

To be considered for admission to any Saint Louis University undergraduate program, the applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school or must have an acceptable score on the General Education Development (GED) test. Students are strongly encouraged to present five academic courses for each of the four years of high school. These academic courses should include the following: 4 years of English, 4 years of Mathematics, 3 years of Foreign Language, 3 years of Natural Sciences, 3 years of Social Sciences and 3 years of Academic Electives. The minimum scores required for TOEFL is paper-based (PBT) = 550, Internet-based (iBT) = 80 and Computer-based (CBT) = 213 and IELTS score should be 6.0.
