The Department of Spanish and Portuguese created in 1968, the main goal of our department is to guarantee that every student receives the highest quality education. Provider accomplish this goal by continually refining and building on the strengths of our academic programs and striving to maintain small class sizes to allow each student individual attention. Each year, department helps prepare approximately 700 majors in Spanish and/or Portuguese for careers in both the private and public sectors such as: international business, education, healthcare, public service, and government.

The Division of Housing and Food Service is dedicated to providing quality food service to the university community. All dining venues are open to anyone who visits campus. It encourages everyone to experience the convenience and variety offered in each of its dining locations. It accept Cash, Bevo Bucks and Dine in Dollars (10%discount) and major credit cards. On-campus housing can hold more than 7,100 students. Jester Center is the largest residence hall with its capacity of 2,945. Academic enrollment exceeds the capacity of on-campus housing; as a result, most students must live in private residence halls, housing cooperatives, apartments, or with Greek organizations and other off-campus residences. The Division of Housing and Food Service, which already has the largest market share of 7,000 of the estimated 27,000 beds in the campus area, plans to expand to 9,000 beds in the near future.
