Ringkasan program
A major in psychology with a coordinate major in early childhood education requires that students complete a specific series of psychology courses as well as education courses. Even though it is offered through the School of Science and Engineering, the psychology-early childhood education major earns a BA degree. Consequently, students must satisfy the requirements for a BA degree (as determined by the School of Liberal Arts) rather than the requirements for BS (determined by the School of Science and Engineering).
Modul program
The modules include Psyc 100 Introductory Psychology or Psyc 101 Honors Seminar in General Psychology, Psyc 209 Univariate Statistics, Psyc 318 Testing and Measurement, Psyc 320 Educational Psychology, Psyc 321 Child Psychology, Psyc 323 Nursery School Observation, Psyc 325 Psychology of Early Childhood, Psyc 326 Infancy, Psyc 334 Child Behavioral Disorders, Psyc 335 Nursery School Principles, Psyc 365 Family Psychology or Soci 103 (Sociology of the Family), Psyc 367 or Psyc 368 or Psyc 370 (i.e., a course in the psychobiology group).

Students are expected to present strong high school programs of study consisting of 18 or more academic courses taken over the four-year period as well as submit SAT or ACT test scores. Students must have standardized test scores from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the IELTS Test in lieu of the TOEFL.
