This program leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. The B.A. requires completion of the foreign-language requirement. Twenty-four credits of biology that are applied to the major must be taken at the University of Oregon (which includes the main campus, the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston, the central Oregon campus in Bend, and university-approved overseas and exchange programs). Majors must either meet the major requirements in effect at the time they are accepted as majors or complete subsequent major requirements. It will prepare students for a multitude of options following graduation including graduate schools and careers in biomedicine and research, allied health, private industry, and education. In this program may participate in research; attend department research seminars; work as a computer laboratory assistant, peer tutor, or peer advisor; spend a term at OIMB; or participate in related activities. Students are encouraged to express ideas and offer suggestions about curriculum and student relations to the chair of the department’s curriculum committee, the director of undergraduate advising, the chair of the student relations committee, or the head of the department.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale. Students must have a minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL or a minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
