Ringkasan program
In this program, strength is the opportunity undergraduates have to participate in the activities of a dynamic research group that considers problems extending well beyond textbook instruction. This program of study will leads to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in chemistry. The bachelor of science degrees are specifically designed for training the professional chemist or biochemist. With a bachelor's degree in chemistry the student will be well prepared to enter directly into a career in industry or government, or to undertake graduate level studies. This program provides a good background for advanced study in such fields as atmospheric science, biochemistry, biology, environmental sciences, forensic science, geochemistry, geological sciences, pharmacy, pharmacology, physiology, materials science, medicine, medicinal chemistry, metallurgy, molecular biology, neuroscience, and oceanography. Career opportunities for chemists are available in education, government, and industry. Chemists also find jobs in science writing, public relations, personnel, plant production, sales, management, safety management, market research, patent law, and financial analysis.

Students must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale. Students must have a minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL or a minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
