Ringkasan program
This program is designed for those students who are planning on careers and/or graduate school in the field of sociology and/or psychology. This program provides the student with a broad perspective of both fields while emphasizing scientific research skills and is especially designed for those who plan to do graduate studies in research in either sociology or psychology.
Modul program
The courses are as follows: Sociology Core, IN 210 Peoples and Cultures of the World, IN 299 Special Topics in Cultural Studies or 220 International Studies Travel Seminar, PLUS the following courses for a Psychology Major:PS110 Introduction to Psychology, PS240 Lifespan Development, PS251 Statistics for the Social Sciences, PS313 Social Psychology, PS331 Theories of Personality, PS352 Junior Psychology Seminar (1.5 credit hours), PS372 Abnormal Psychology, PS430 Field Experience, PS453 Senior Psychology Seminar I (1.5 credit hours).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students who wish to apply must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent with an acceptable level of academic performance, and possess a proven ability to speak the English language. In addition they should have the scores of ACT, SAT and TOEFL. The required score of TOEFL is a minimum of 500 (173 on the computer-based exam). Applicants should have a solid academic program in high school. They should posses the preparatory units for the following subjects: English four, History one to two, Language two to four, Mathematics two to four, Social Science one to two, and Science one to four units.
