The Department of Languages offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. A semester of study abroad or an internship abroad is required for a major. This requirement is usually satisfied during the junior year in either the fall or spring semester but may also be satisfied through summer study abroad. Under the guidance of a faculty member and approval of the department, an individualized study abroad program is tailored to meet the needs of the student. Stritch students have studied abroad in France, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Columbia, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Clare Hall is a co-educational residence community consisting of three connected wings (East, Center, and West) with three floors in each wing (One, Two and Three). Clare Hall houses 280 students, with approximately 20-40 students on each wing. Students share common bathrooms, located on each floor in each of the wings (nine total). All rooms are equipped with a bed, desk, chair, bookshelves, built-in closet, sink and mirror. All rooms have versatile furniture that can be lofted. The second and third floor rooms are carpeted, as well as all main hallways. Mattresses are extra-long twin sized. Residents have access to a number of services and amenities, including cable television, in-room internet access, 24-hour front desk services, microwave/refrigerator combination rentals, microwaves in common areas, a full kitchen facility, vacuums, games, sports equipment, a quiet women’s floor, comfortable lounges and bike storage.
