Ringkasan program
This program is for students who want to examine sport in its historical and contemporary cultural contexts. Course work provides students with the critical skills necessary to understand the cultural significance of sport as it relates to the media, the economy, the political system, and the educational system. A focus on the race, class, and gender differences in the sport experience is central to the major. Many students use their experience in the program to prepare for graduate school. For others, the required second concentration area or minor serves as an introduction to careers in a number of fields, such as sport journalism, sport management, or coaching.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have completed academic upper secondary school (generally a total of 12-13 years of primary and secondary education), or a corresponding secondary school diploma or leaving certificate. They must meet above-average grades in a university-preparatory program. They should have completed the required amount of secondary school preparation in the following areas: mathematics three years, science three years, social studies three years, native language four years and single foreign language two years. Students whose first language is not in English must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 530 on the paper-based test or 71 on the internet-based test for regular admission, or they should have a minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5.
