Ringkasan program
The curriculum will develop and enhance an understanding of gender as it is shaped by race, class, sexuality, and nation. It also emphasizes critical thinking skills and applied learning. The courses are of value to students interested in broadening their knowledge of society and awareness of institutionalized forms of discrimination against women. The program also offers an opportunity for increased self-understanding.
Modul program
The following are the modules: Major (36): Required (18 credits): WS 201, 315, 415, 445, 485, ETHS/WS 405; WS 415 meets the upper division writing requirement for the WS B.A. Electives (18 credits): At least 3 credits must be taken from each of the following groups. At least 9 credits of electives must be from upper division courses: Women's Culture and Contributions: WS 220, 330, 340; AVIT 107; ART 438; CMTY 475; ENGL 305, 493; ETHS 312; HIST 356, 357. Women-Social Structures: WS 325, 493; ANTH 364; BIOL 107; GERO 415; HURL 201, 411; PHIL 211; PSY 225, 427; SOC 273, 355. Women's Resistance: WS 345, 444, 445; WS/HURL 406; HLTH 255; HURL 491, 492.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have four years of English including composition and literature, three years of social studies including one year each of U.S. history and geography, three years of math including two years of algebra and one of geometry, two years of the same world language, one year in an area of the arts, three years of science including one year of each of a biological and physical science and one year laboratory experience. International applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements: meet the score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 for the Institutional (paper) TOEFL or 500 standard on International (paper) Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Apart from this they must also have 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), 70 on Michigan, SAT critical reading score of 370, graduation from an English-medium high school with a 2.5 (cumulative equivalent) GPA or higher.
