Ringkasan program
In this program students will learn and experience design from a creative faculty that is attuned to the contemporary issues within this broad field. Both aesthetic and technical experiences are studied in order to solve problems related to the function of interior environments and to enhance the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Through a series of course assignments, the students will experience projects that will sharpen their visual, oral, and written skills in order to fulfill the design objectives as presented within each project. Also students will develop the basics of two- and three-dimensional design, color theory, drawing, drafting and computer-aided design. The interior design courses provide knowledge and skills in both residential and non-residential interiors. Additional courses in art and design history add historical significance to the evolution of design in contemporary society.

Students should have completed the 24-unit Missouri college-preparatory curriculum. They also need either a score of 21 or higher on the ACT and 2.0 GPA or 1470 on the SAT and 2.0 GPA; or a score of 20 on the ACT and 2.9 GPA; or a score of 19 on the ACT and 3.0 GPA; or a combined percentile index equal to or exceeding 100. In addition to this, international students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500 on paper-based, 61 on internet-based or an IELTS score of 5.5. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who have completed a minimum of 30 semester credit hours at an accredited college/university in the USA or who are citizens of a country whose native language is English.
