Ringkasan program
The BFA candidate should develop an understanding and competency of the various techniques associated with metalsmithing including fabrication, lost wax casting, raising, forging, stonesetting and numerous forming and surface embellishment processes. Through the course of study, students should gain an appreciation for the history of jewelry and metals from body adornment to the ritualistic and functional object. In completing the BFA exit project, the student should present a professional portfolio that can be used towards application to graduate school or the jewelry/metals profession.
Modul program
The courses are: ARHI 2300, ARST 1050, ARST 1060, ARST 1070, ARST 1080; one 2000-level ARST course For current requirements, refer to the UGA online bulletin at www.bulletin.uga.edu 60 hours in major courses Minimum grade of "C" required for all courses.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should be a high school graduate. They should have an official SAT-I verbal score of 430 or higher; an official TOEFL score of at least 80 on the Internet-based exam or 213 on the computer-based version. TOEFL scores must be less than two years old if you have not been studying at a U.S. institution since taking the exam; an official IELTS score of 7.0 or higher and should take equivalent of English 1101 and 1102 (first-year composition) at an accredited U.S. institution and earn a minimum 2.5 combined GPA for the two courses.
