The Department utilizes several theatre spaces according to the type of event being held, along with well-equipped classroom and studio environments to enhance students' learning experiences. The Brown Building Theatre (closed for renovations in the fall of 2006, spring of 2007, and fall of 2007), seats 125 people in eight rows. This space was formerly known as the Hart Recital Hall, and it is located on the first floor of the Brown Building, Tate Street. Taylor Theatre seats 490 people and is a proscenium style stage. This performance space is located at 450 Tate Street and used for Theatre for Young People events, musicals, comedies, and dramas. Aycock Auditorium (closed as of July 2006 for renovations, scheduled opening in the Spring of Spring of 2008), seats 2300 people and is used for our large musical productions including the Spring Opera. Aycock Auditorium is located on the corner of Spring Garden and Tate Streets.

The University of North Carolina Greensboro is conveniently located near numerous off campus housing options and has several on campus residence halls. Most international students and scholars live in rental housing, including apartments, duplexes, townhomes, condominiums, rooms for rent and houses. Please refer to the following resources and sites for further information about on campus and off campus housing. The suite style Housing offers 300 upper class students. Each suite comes with four private bed rooms, bathroom area , living area and kitchen. Each bed room is furnished with six large drawers underneath a wardrobe and hanging space, a mirror on one side of the door, desk, computer carrel and desk chair. Moore strong offers a variety of housing options under one roof. There are traditional corridor style floor of double rooms as well as suites in the centre of the building. There is a large community room, known as the pit available for relaxation recreation and study. It is equipped with wireless capabilities for students to use their laptops. North Spencer Residence Hall offers residents the chance to live in a small close kit community. Residents live in corridor type double rooms.
